This site has been developed to be as accessible to as wide an audience as possible. All pages have been designed to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Downloadable documents have been provided in both PDF and their original formats where possible. PDFs are created using the best advice on Accessible PDFs and are checked accordingly.

Images

All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.

Links

All links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, and all links are written to make sense out of context.

Visual Design

1. The graphical site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout and by using the 'text size' option above the main menu, font size can be increased and decreased according to user preference. 

2. This text only site uses relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers.

3. If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.

Access Keys

To aid those using a screen reader or a talking browser or any user agents that support access keys, quick access to the main navigation links are provided via the keyboard.

These access keys provide a quick way to navigate round the site without using a mouse.

Hold the 'Alt' key (Windows PC) or 'Ctrl' key (Apple Mac)  and then press the number in relation to the position of the item in the navigation.

Colour Checks

This website has been checked for Monochramat, Green blind (Ductan), Red blind (Protan) colour blindness compatibility.

Text Only Site

The text only site uses relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers. Due to technology limitations in visual design and control of content, some aspects of the graphical site will not appear in the text only version.
