Dashing Santas raise funds for hospice

The first ever Santa Dash for Dorothy House took place at beautiful Brokerswood on Sunday 4 December.  We had almost 150 Santas in attendance dashing through the somewhat boggy winter wonderland of the country park, and it was a marvelous festive sight!

Some ran, some walked but all had a great time, really getting into the festive spirit of the event.  The 5 kilometre route took in some of the broader leafy avenues as well of some of the more exciting squelchy patches in the park!  The Santas returned to claim their well-deserved water, and festive chocolate coins as well as a more hearty hot snack.

We hope to raise £10,000 from the event to contribute to continued patient care here at the hospice and throughout our community.  The energy and hard work of our Santas raising impressive sums in sponsorship will help us to get there!
