Dorothy House recently benefitted from a fabulous "Voices for Hospices" concert organised by The Wiltshire Lodge of Agriculture No 9090, which raised £2,500.
The concert, which formed part of the worldwide “Voices for Hospices 2011” event was held at the Melksham Assembly Hall, where an audience of over two hundred enjoyed an evening of music presented by the Bath Male Choir with guest soloist Tom Corbishley. There was also the all-female troupe The Fabulous Stockingtops, and the line up was completed by violinist Lizz Lipscombe.
Sarah Whitfield, Chief Executive of Dorothy House Hospice Care, and Brother Peter Winton, Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Wiltshire were the principal guests.
A cheque presentation was made at the Hospice by the Charity Steward of the Lodge, Basil Haines, and Jim Speed. Receiving the cheque on behalf of Dorothy House was Katrina Sudbury, Director of Fundraising & Communications and Emily Knight, Community Fundraiser (above).
