We currently have 6 doctors at Dorothy House:

Our doctors

• Look after patients resident on the In-Patient Unit, those who visit the hospice for clinics, out-patient appointments or as day-patients.
• Teach other health care professionals.
• Provide advice and consultancy for patients not known to us at Dorothy House.

They do this by 

• Visiting patients at home, in our outreach centres, in local hospitals and in care homes, when requested by other Dorothy House professionals or GPs.  GPs are always informed of visits to patients.
• Telephone consultations.
• Responding to formal requests.

Our doctors are available to the carers and families of our patients upon request while a patient is an In-Patient at Dorothy House or via a health and social care professional.
